What is The Phoenix Forum?
The goal of this group will be to have a small, committed, board of directors to bounce your big life challenges against without fear of judgement and without people who co-sign false beliefs.
The monthly group will consist of 6-10 established sober entrepreneurs all with over one year of sobriety and owning a business doing over $1m in revenue.
This trusted group will deep dive with you into your background and help you reveal blind spots, unlock hidden revenue sources, build a strong network of other sober founders, and provide a safe place you can share things you know will be kept safe.
This group is for people who are comfortable getting uncomfortable and sharing the good and the bad with others, which in turn gives you the ability to change your life drastically in a positive direction.
After running similar meetings for over 8 years, I know the power these groups can have and have witnessed them change lives – Sober Founders was created as the result of one!

Monthly Format
First 30 minutes – Member Updates
All members of the group share updates from the past month. We want to dig into the top 5% BEST thing(s) that happened and the bottom 5% WORST thing(s) that happened. These usually require a little more vulnerability than people are willing to have in normal random group settings.
Next 90 minutes – Member Spotlight
One member of the group will share their “life story” experience, strength, and hope. This will be ~10-20 minutes of recovery and ~15-30 minutes of business and real-life soul bearing.
This will be sharing with others very personal things like your past, relationship troubles, some 4th step things, income, net worth, investment portfolio, trust structures, etc.
This isn’t to share for the sake of it. The goal here is to show your true self, give others insight into how you view the world and the decisions you make due to that view.
After sharing, the member will have a big question that they want to group to share experience / advice on. This will be a top 1% issue that most likely you wouldn’t be comfortable sharing outside of your closest friends / family / coworkers / sponsor.
The insights gained from these can literally be life-changing!
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can join?
Sober entrepreneurs with 1+ year sobriety and $1M+ in annual business revenue. We define sobriety as free from all mind altering drugs, including weed and kava. Caffeine and nicotine are accepted.
How often will we meet?
Monthly 2-hour sessions, plus optional accountability pods.
Is this like a 12-step group?
Similar, but it’s for problems that don’t always fit in recovery rooms – business, wealth, family, legacy.
What makes it different?
It’s a confidential peer board of directors for your life and business – all in recovery. Where the weekly meetings of Sober Founders are optional and have many new faces every week, these are going to be a tightly knit group all with accountability and a commitment to participate.
Do I have to share financials?
Yes. Transparency around money, investments, P&L, and challenges is key to growth here.
How long is the commitment?
6 months minimum. After 6 months the group can renew for another 6 months.
Is it confidential?
Absolutely. What’s said in the Phoenix Forum stays in the Phoenix Forum. All members will sign an NDA upon acceptance.
If I sign up am I automatically accepted?
No, everyone will have to go through a brief interview process and verification. The group is capped at 10 members. Each applicant attends a brief consultation – an opportunity to see if the Forum will serve you at the highest level.
How much does it cost?
Future groups will be $500/mo. Since this is the first one Sober Founders is running, it will be only $250/mo – saving $1,500 on this group.
When does it start?
Group will begin as soon as at least six members join – applications are currently open. (Update 9/22/25) we currently have six registered and will close registration on Friday 9/26/25
Can I refer a friend?
You can share this link with someone else, so long as they meet the group qualifications of one year sober, over $1m in revenue from a business they run. Be sure that you are comfortable sharing intimate details with those people, transparency is important. Your own family members and business partners / board members are not recommended.
When does it meet?
We will organize with everyone who gets accepted to find a time that will work in everyone’s schedule. There will be a meet & greet on Zoom in the next few weeks and then we’ll coordinate the best time to meet monthly.
